Dear Ilgin,

You cannot imagine what joy your presents brought to the children. Richard played much of the way back to the United States with the wonderful bionicle Lego, and William will not let go of his little bear. He carries it around all day and sleeps snuggled up with it at night. He even took it to school this morning to show off to his kindergarten class and wrote about it in a little story telling what he did on his spring vacation! And of course Dee and I adore our scarves and Jeff will look so handsome in his “Bill Clinton” tie. Many, many thanks for your very thoughtful surprises.
We had a glorious trip and are reliving all the memories together. Thank you for everything that you did to make it so very special.
We look forward to staying in touch!

We had a wonderful trip. All the hotels you recommended were just perfect! Our guides (Volkan in Izmir and Alec in Cappadocia) were just great and they represented your agency well. It would be difficult to say what my favorite part of the trip was-all regions we visited were just wonderful and we were able to meet our schedule every day. Most of the tours were “private”, which was a nice treat. We learned so much and really felt like we experienced Turkey’s riches.We took hundreds of photographs and it will be fun to relive the memories when they are developed.

Hi Ilgin,

First and foremost, YOU were an excellent resource for us in Turkey. Your services were professional, friendly, prompt, clear, and straightforward. You represented everything accurately and comprehensively, and our trust in your recommendations proved well founded. We were especially happy that you were willing to meet us in our hotel the afternoon of our arrival to personally hand us our tickets and materials, and to greet us with your warm personality and cheerful willingness to help in any way. And when on the day before our departure you helped us with the lost plane ticket by confirming that we only needed our identification, you gave us great peace of mind.

We thoroughly enjoyed the day tour you arranged for us on our first full day in Istanbul. As I’m sure you know, Betty spoke perfect English and had an excellent knowledge of the history of Turkey, and of Istanbul in particular. She also had a delightful personality which enhanced the tour, and we not only enjoyed seeing the sights but also enjoyed her company.
How fortunate we were to have such a well informed and delightful guide. Thank you for making these arrangements, Ilgin, and please let Betty know very pleased we were with her service.

Our trip to Izmir proved beyond our expectations. How could we know that you would arrange for such a knowledgeable and delightful guide, who also was an instructor at a university? The tour of Ephesus and the surrounding sites proved fascinating, and Baha’s depth of knowledge truly impressive. His fluent, articulate English made him a joy to listen to, and we found ourselves asking him to delve more into the very academic details, partly because we had such a keen interest, and partly because he presented everything so well.

Both of these tours proved extremely worthwhile, Ilgin, and the educational aspects were made all the more enjoyable because of the excellent guides. Your arrangements made everything go quite smoothly-there was not a single glitch. They also were just the right length of time for us, allowing us to spend time walking around Istanbul for the remainder of our week. Your other recommendations of places to visit in the city were also helpful, and we especially enjoyed the Spice Bazaar, even more than the Grand Bazaar. We visited the Dolmabace Palace, and then walked from there to the areas you recommended, and then walked down to the Hotel Marmara in the early evening where we had a glass of wine in the bar on the top, enjoying the spectacular view of the Bosphorus.

For your information, we also were quite pleased with our choice of hotel. The Blue House was clean, comfortable, conveniently located, and very hospitable. The service was excellent, and all of our meals delicious. I would highly recommend the Blue House to any traveler, and I already wrote them to that effect.

Thank you, Ilgin, for all of your help. We would heartily recommend your agency, and especially you, to anyone traveling to Turkey. You understood what we were looking for and you provided it at a reasonable cost, with a complete description before we paid. Everything went as you said it would, and you were very helpful even after the tours were completed. You helped make our trip easy, educational, and pleasant, and your professional manner along with your warm personality made us feel fortunate to have found you. Of course, Tom Brosnahan had recommended you to us, and hence he is receiving a copy of this e-mail. His faith in you is well deserved.

Thank you so much for your kind phone calls and e-mail. YES, we loved Ephesus, Istanbul and Turkey! We had such a fantastic time and the weather was just perfect (did you arrange that?). I will definitely return to Turkey (perhaps a blue tour?). The people everywhere we went were so happy that Americans were visiting.

I must commend you on the amazing guide we had on Friday in Ephesus. Baha was smart, engaging, charming and such a pleasure to be around. We HIGHLY recommend him.
