| Dear Mr. Sarikaya and Ms. Gulgul, | |
| We would like to thank you for organizing our visit to Turkey from 11-15 June this year, and in particular our visit to Gallipoli on 13th June, and Troy on 14th. We enjoyed both enormously. The visit to Gallipoli was very emotional, particularly at the 7th Field Ambulance Cemetery. Kenan Celik was an excellent guide, very understanding, and knowledgeable, bringing years of our learning about the history of the battles to life. Barisch (I hope that is the correct spelling of his name) our guide to Troy was also an excellent choice. He was enthusiastic and passionate about what he does, and made it easy for us to imagine what Troy was like through the centuries. But we would like to reserve our greatest thanks for our driver Seyit Ipek. Over the two days, he drove a long way, and always did so with safety. Our only disappointment was that we were not able to communicate adequately with Seyit, so were unable to let him know just how much we appreciate his efforts. He was patient and understanding at all times, particularly when we needed to return to the 7th Field Ambulance Cemetery because I had forgotten, in the emotion of finding my grandfather’s grave, what the inscription was. We would have liked to tell him more about ourselves and where we live, and ask, and understand, more about Seyit. We have included a small parcel for Seyit’s children. Would you pass on to him our thanks for taking us to Gallipoli, and the hope that his children enjoy the contents of the parcel. We would be most grateful to you. |

| Thank you once again. Kindest regards, Robert and Sue Barton Australia | |

| Dear Sila, | |
| We enjoyed our stay very much. We particularly liked the small hotel that we stayed in…the Sumahan on the Asian side….and the ferry ride each morning. We enjoyed the sites, our guide, the food and your wonderful Turkish hospitality. We found everyone quite friendly and we deeply impressed by your country. |
