| Dear Sirma, | |
| What a fabulous time we had on our "Total Solar Eclipse" tour! We're not much into tours, but your boutique style has made a believer out of us! Of particular value was having one guide and driver for the entire tour as they came to know each of the six of us very well and thus adapt to our needs, special interests, and unique requests. Where do I begin to tell you how fantastic Yavuz is? His extensive knowledge and love of his country inspired us to also love Turkey! His genuine interest in and desire to ensure the comfort, safety and Happiness of "his travelers" is beyond belief. His suggestion that we listen to the audio book "Birds Without Wings" during our bus rides was a highlight of the trip and helped us understand the cultures that have shaped Turkey. Thank you, Yavuz, among many things, for insisting that the theatre in Hierapolis was worth the trudge up the hill at the end of a long day: you were so right and I will always treasure the experience! He really went out of his way for each of us: Steve's astrolab, running to the bus in Ephesus for my camera battery, finding a camera tripod, the endless supply of water, whipping money out of his pocket when we hadn't gotten to an ATM for that special trinket: every day he took an extra step to make our trip especially memorable. Yavuz and Seyit, our driver, really showed their adaptability, patience, and unswerving customer service when we went driving all over back roads near Silyon: backing up, turning around, etc. Looking for the "zero coordinates" for our Aussie "mates" and then to find the perfect viewing spot for the eclipse with no tour buses. And find them, we did!! Even to parking in the old farmer's driveway where he gave us all fresh tomatoes for our hike up the rocky hill for the eclipse! Seyit can get that minibus in the most amazing places and then turn the dang thing around as an encore! Turkey has the most amazing and delicious food!! All the restaurants we went to were great as were Yavuz's selections of dishes. I've ordered some Turkish cookbooks. Looking up recipes on the internet I recreated a meal last night of some of our favorite dishes: Lamb Shanks with Roasted Plums, Patlicanli Markarn, Ajvar and Bulgur Pilavi. Turned out pretty good for a first try, but I need more practice for the Ajvar: need to add more smoke to the grill to get that unique flavor! Also looking for a source of Turkish wine! We sampled a lot every day and never had a bad one even for 7 TKL!! Thank you again for the birthday cake for Steve, you made a special day even more special! We will definitely return to Turkey to experience Ankara and Cappadocia for sure. So you will be hearing from us again. I will also write to Frommer's about their wonderful recommendation for Credo Tours. Thank you for the first "trip of a lifetime" and we'll create another in your wonderful country. |

| Dear Sila, | |
| I am home safe and sound and off to Paris tomorrow for a few days. We loved Turkey - it was beautiful and the people were so nice. I would like to write to my guide in Cappadocia if you have his e-mail address. Thank you for everything. I have already given your name to some people interested in a trip to Turkey. |

| Dear Madam, | |
| Please excuse me writing in English rather than Turkish but after 5 days in your country I had just about managed the basics of the spoken word, so please forgive me. I just wanted to write you a brief letter thanking Credo for the excellent service and outstanding assistance during the planning and delivery of our recent tour to Turkey. Apart from achieving all we wanted to, and much, much more, what most impressed me about the trip was the patient and very professional assistance from Sila Padir who arranged and hosted us, and our very safe driver Sied (?). The choice of Hotels was spot on and our guide in Gallipoli simply the best. Indeed I was so impressed by your company that I have spoken to the British Embassy and recommended Credo for all future British trips that they deal with. I very much look forward to visiting Turkey again in the future but in the mean time, thank you once more again from the UK Defense Academy and especially from me. |
